Many jobs require an employment drug test.
The most common jobs requiring an employment drug test are those
professions where high-risk is involved. These professions include
but are not limited to law enforcement, drivers, teachers, and machine
operators. Military servicemen and women are also required to take
drug tests. An employment drug test can accurately indicate whether someone has used
as many as 25 substances recently ranging from tobacco to crack cocaine. Even some
of the new "designer drugs" can be detected with home testing
kits. Employment drug tests are
used for safety purposes. Someone operating under the influence
can be very dangerous. Judgment and dexterity can be greatly
affected. Often the drug user is not even aware their skill is
impaired and will continue with difficult tasks as normal. Drug
testing kits are valuable not only to protect the integrity of a
business but also to protect the people who make it happen.
