Cocaine use is a major problem in the United States even in unlikely places such as school or the workplace.  Studies estimate that 1 out of 10 high school students have experimented with cocaine.  At work, drug use is costing companies highly.  Many are having to implement such procedures as mandatory drug testing.

Drug use is a sensitive issue.  Privacy and discretion are important when it come to drug testing.  People who may have a problem can often feel embarrassed about their addiction and having to use a local lab is hard for them.  An alternative to the local lab is to home drug testing kits.  Kits can test for a variety of substances including cocaine.

Using a sample of hair from the head is the most common method of analysis used. With this method a piece of hair from the individual is taken and placed in the included envelope and then sent to the predetermined lab. It is completely private and confidential.  The drug history of an individual over the last 90 days can be determined.  This method of testing for cocaine is more accurate than a urinalysis.

Certain home test kits can also help identify a suspicious substance.  An aerosol is sprayed over the substance and identified by the color change. No laboratory analysis is required.  This is great for parents who may have found an unknown substance and who wish to confirm suspicions that their child may have a cocaine problem.
