Drug test accuracy is approaching
99.99 percent.
How accurate is a drug test? With the technological improvements made
over the last years drug testing is reaching a number of 99.99 percent
accuracy. Just about every single test given will yield the true report
of a person's drug use.
Drug tests do not show the history of drug use in an individual. The
test will only show the drugs that are present in the system at the time
the test is taken. Some drugs do remain in the system for a period of
time. THC, the chemical found in marijuana, will be present for days so
a drug test given will accurately pick up the substance if in the
amount of time.
Many companies have come up with home
test kits that can be found in your local drug store. These tests give
accurate results comparable to many of the tests done at an expert lab.
In a lab a urine sample is analyzed and results are usually available in
a couple days. A home test can be done and results given in a minimal
amount of time. A urine sample is collected and applied to a test strip.
The results will appear shortly. A variety of different drugs can be
tested for using a urine sample. Time and money can be saved.
